Upscale, East Coast types 30 - 60 for Extra Work 4/1 in SF in “Hemingway & Gellhorn” starring Clive Owen & Nicole Kidman. Directed by SF local Philip Kaufman

We are seeking Upscale, East Coast looking Men and Women 30 - 60 yrs that appear to be Caucasian and are available to work Friday, 4/1 for a shoot in SF. Director Philip Kaufman is approving all the background from photos and selected extras will have to attend a paid Wardrobe Fitting ($19.84)in SF sometime after 3/21.

This film takes place in the 1930s-40s and scenes are set for New York. People will portray left-wing documentary viewers and restaurant goers indoors, you must be okay to work around cigarette smoke! The look of the extras is very important to match footage being used in the film. Bodies were leaner overall; there were no weightlifters and few overweight people due to lack of food during wartime. Men can be no taller than 6 ft 1 inch, must fit to a 36” - 44” Suit Jacket and must be willing to get a paid, production-provided 1930s style haircut ($5), shave all facial hair for shoot if necessary. Women must fit to Dress/Pants size range 0-8, have natural hair color only, no highlights or super modern styles and be willing to set hair in rollers or pincurls the night before the shoot.

Shoots last 12hrs and start as early as 5:30AM (no joke) and last into evening hours. Exact start time is unknown until evening before each shoot. You must be available all day without conflict. Non Union Extras are paid San Francisco Min. Wage: $9.92/hr = $79.36 for 8 hrs + overtime at time and ½. I-9 paperwork will be filled out at fitting. U.S citizens must have a current U.S. passport or a valid Driver’s License with either a Social Security card or Birth Certificate. Non U.S. citizens must have a valid Green Card or Permanent Resident Card with photo.

If avail 4/1 and you fit the type, email the following to hgspain@gmail.com ASAP:
* in subject line: 4/1 Upscale – Name, Age Range
* Ethnicity
* Cell # and alternate #
* Height, Weight and Sizes. Men: Suit Size, Neck x Sleeve, Waist x Inseam, Shoe. Women: Dress and Pants Size, Shoe and Measurements: Bust-cup/Waist/Hips
* Smoking tolerance: Smoker, Willing to smoke, Okay to work around smoke
* Take and attach 2 NEW digital camera, camera phone or even web cam photos as jpg files just for this. We need 1 taken from chest up and 1 full body. Photos should be of you alone, non-smiling, looking straight to camera in nice casual attire. Natural hair looks preferred, keep hair product and make-up to a minimum to avoid looking too contemporary.

Keep in mind the Director only wants to see natural faces not headshots or posed professional shots; please follow directions to ensure consideration! Submissions with links to photos will be ignored. We will contact you to discuss availability prior to forwarding your photos and again only if approved so we can schedule a wardrobe fitting. No phone calls will be accepted regarding this project/posting.
