NOW CASTING “FASHION DESIGNER PROJECT”

Major Cable Network is currently casting an innovative, charismatic, credible/established, edgy FASHION DESIGNER to anchor their own series.

Must be edgy, hip, possibly Avant Garde, capable of “Fantasy” type looks. Having a background in Costume Design is OK, but MUST currently be grounded in Fashion.

The right designer could design a Couture look for the Runway to designing outfits for the next Katy Perry or Lady Gaga Tour. Ideally they would have a full Team in place, but open if they don’t. This designer and his/her team must be established, so right out of design school or too up and coming doesn’t work. Must have the credibility to star in their own show!!!

Please feel free to blast this out to anyone you think would be perfect for this project or to anyone who may have some leads. Obviously this is an amazing platform for the designer/design house to showcase themselves and their work in a positive light. This is NOT a competition show, It is a docu-series that will be geared around the chosen designer,their staff and their designs…think the “Rachel Zoe but for an innovative Fashion Designer”

• Be creative, but you can only enter one female garment or outfit!
• A female garment or outfit is considered to be any type of shirt, pants, skirt, dress or outerwear. Accessories may be included, but will not be judged.
• Submit a digitally illustrated file, or scan of a hand drawn illustration, sketch, painting, photo etc. showing your design on a female figure or a dress form, by 3/23/2011.

Brief Space is a 3000 sq ft Rental Gallery + Performance + Boutique located on the 2nd floor of the Metreon, adjacent to the Yerba Buena Gardens.

Lots of blank walls, high ceilings and big windows over looking 4th and Mission St. in the SOMA District of San Francisco.
This free event will be showcasing the products of the indie art and fashion community of the bay area.

I’m looking for committed fashion designers. SFFAMA will be partnering with Art Inspiring Hope on March 12, 2011 for a benefit event to be held at San Francisco Design Center. The fashion show will be the entertainment portion of the evening. It will be during a span of a two-hour time. I’m looking for both female and male fashion designers with a cohesive collection of 12 outfits.

I’m recruiting 5-10 designers for an event happening in San Francisco in Spring 2011.

A little information about the event:

What: The 2nd Annual Spring Gala is an event to raise money for Bay Area charitiesWoman, Inc. and Career Closet. The organizers are expecting 150-200 attendees and this years event.

When: April 2, 2011 5pm-11pm. The event consists of a cocktail hour with a silent auction and a site down three course dinner. (A fashion show will take place during dinner).

Where: JW Marriott in San Francisco

I’m looking for fashion designers, the designer can design either womens and mens collections. The clothing style can be avant garde, ready-to-wear, and anything in between. Each designer will be responsible for filling 6-10 minutes of runway fashion entertainment, meaning each designer will need to show 8+ complete looks. The fashion designers will not be compensated for their time or involvement, however they will receive media coverage for participating in the event.

Designers need to be selected and secured by Nov 2010. If you are interested in submitting your designs to be considered for the fashion show, please email images or a link to your online portfolio to nicole@stylebust.com

I am also recruiting models, make-up artists and hair stylists.

Since this is a charity event, there is no compensation for your involvement in the Spring Gala Event.

SFFAMA is looking for fashion designers to participate in the beta test of a new personalized avatar-based online shopping site. Get your products noticed and add a potential new revenue stream.

This is our second meeting, we have chosen to work with two designers from the first meeting and we are looking for more. Think your fashion design but on a “SIMS” type of online store.

Qualifications are as follows (but not required)
• Current website with ecommerce capability a plus
• Computer aided fashion designs a plus (Software: Gerber Technologies or Lectra Software, etc.)
• A cohesive and complete merchandise collection

Recent fashion graduates are strongly encouraged to participate. Meeting with development team is on OCT. 6th, 2010 Wednesday, between 6:30-8:30pm in San Francisco. Limited seating available.
